Today we're pleased to announce the launch of the brand new Flow Portal, which we're calling Portal 2. This new and improved version has everything you love about Flow Portal but also has a lot of cool new features.
The most significant change in Flow Portal 2 is something we hope you notice right away: a top-to-bottom update of the UX. We know that excellent user experience is the key to a great tool, so we've put a lot of time and effort into improving the user experience. We'll have more on this topic from our UX team tomorrow.
Flow Portal 2 can be used to visualize and manage all types of processes, including:
- manufacturing planning and execution
- Lean/Agile boards, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- customer portals
- supplier portals
- work order planning, dispatching, and execution
- warehouse control
- ...and a whole lot more.
Here are some of the other great new features in Flow Portal 2:
The flexible navigation makes it possible to create virtually any type of Portal, of any size. You can now place navigation at the top of the page, side of the page, or both. This makes it easier to access the navigation from the Portal.
We've added the ability to re-size portlets and containers by just clicking and dragging. You can make portlets big, small, square, rectangular, and everything in between. This makes it easier to lay out your Portal just the way you like it.
We've also made it easier to add portlets and containers to your Portal. You can now group portlets or containers and move them as a group, rather than moving each piece individually.
We've added "light" and "dark" themes that you can configure as needed.
Presentation mode is a way to present a Flow dashboard as a presentation. You can use presentation mode when the Portal is to be shown, for example, on a big screen in an office or warehouse.
If you're already using Flow Portal, you can start using Flow Portal 2 by importing pages. During import, a migration will run, which will convert the old Portal into Portal 2. You can find more information on the migration process in Flow Portal 2 Help.
