Announcing the first-ever Novacura Flowathon!

Hey students in Sundsvall! You can now be part of Novacura's upcoming hackathon, which we're calling the "Flowathon"!

Personally, it is great to have it out in the open as it has been in my head for a while, and now all feedback is appreciated, and we look forward the Go Live on November 13.

So why a Hackathon? I can post numerous links to articles pointing out what the form of hackathons gives when it comes to innovation. And the concept is not new, not at all. What it comes down to is this: when you place motivated, competent, and team-spirited people together, and you give them a goal, you can come up with many innovative ways to achieve that goal.

We want to show that Agile isn't just for startups: it works for large-scale projects too. The Digital Transformation has already started. Companies need new tools, both in terms of software/hardware but also tools to drive the changes needed to develop as a company. And we hope that the Flowathon will show people the power of these tools.

This Flowathon concept, from Novacura’s side, is a pilot. But if it goes well, we hope to do the same (or similar) events in other locations. I know we will learn a great deal in this first run. My hope is that the Flowathon will be a good way to show that Novacura Flow can be a tool for innovation.

The initial goal is to create a room full of innovation and to give hungry students a hint of what can be their future. Everything else is a bonus, but a bonus that we will—in a very delicate way—identify and learn from.

You can learn more about the Flowathon here (article is in Swedish).

Let’s unleash the innovation!
